Academic Programmes

Early Years (4 years old)

In Reception year, children follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.

Complementing the fundamentals of communication and language, as well as personal and social development, teaching focuses on specific areas of learning including:

    • Literacy

    • Mathematics

    • Understanding the world

    • Expressive arts

Carefully planned play forms an important part of children’s development and learning.

 

Primary (5-10 years old)

During the International Primary School, in Years 1 to 6, children follow the curriculum outlined in Key Stages 1 and 2 covering a wide range of subjects including:

    • Mathematics and Science

    • English and Humanities

    • French

    • ICT (Computers)

    • Visual Arts, Music and Physical Education

In Primary school, children will gain a solid academic foundation upon which to build, and the confidence and curiosity to strive for ever greater academic heights.

Annual Tuition Fees for 2021 / 2022

In keeping with our philosophy of making private education as financially accessible as possible, our fees are deliberately kept at a level which is very affordable compared to those of the other international schools in the Geneva region.

The Ark Centre for Autism

This specialised unit provides English-speaking teens with autism an opportunity to develop their academic, social, personal and employability skills. Some students may join mainstream lessons, as appropriate. The Ark is an integral part of the British School of Geneva and adheres to the same standards of excellence, student safety, care and respect as the school as a whole.
